AR-enhanced Insects App for Children Learning

We are pleased to show you with this learning App, developed by Digital Interactive Learning Design Lab, National Taipei University of Education, Taiwan. The App is designed to create a fun learning experience for learners throughout the exploration of insects and animals by learners themselves. The App is embedded with Augmented Reality technology and 3D virtual models, the current version has 14 species including 10 insects and 4 species of animals.

Disaster Prevention Education App for Children Learning
​
This APP includes digital teaching content of three themes: fire, earthquake and typhoon. It allows people to understand the knowledge of disaster prevention. The augmented reality in App can be used to scan the answers with the tabletop game of the product, making user to deep the impression of disaster prevention education.

AR Enhanced Earth Magic Cubic
​
To extend user’s virtual and physical experience in exploration, this product encompasses three-dimensional cubic puzzles with Augmented Reality technology using mobile devices. Six main themes in earth science are introduced in via the APP, including seven continents, five oceans, monsoons, ocean currents, latitude and longitude lines, and earth’s rotations.

AR-Enhanced Puzzle Game in the Cretaceous Period
​
This is a puzzle game enhanced with Augmented Reality technology in learning and experiencing dinosaurs-related contents in the Cretaceous Period throughout observation and reasoning of physical element. The APP provides learners with six species of dinosaurs, introducing their fossil characteristics and living habits. The puzzle was the deliverable of a research project in teaching innovation.



Learning Fire ABCD using AR-enhanced Magnetic Board
​
This product is related to fire-fighting knowledge learning using magnetic board. Additionally, augmented reality technology is applied for young children to understand basic fire and fire knowledge. Fires are classified into four categories according to the combustion substances: class A fires (general fires), class B fires (oil fires), class C fires (electric fires), and class D fires (metal fires). To help young children remember smartly, four cute animal icons are designed, i.e., Alligator for class A fires, Bear for class B fires, Chicken for class C fires and Deer for class D fires.

Augmented Reality-Based Pop-up Book for Children’s Marine Exploration (2011)
​
This educational Augmented Reality-Based Pop-up Book helps children understand natural environment and establish ecological reservation to enhance children’s natural exploration capability. It intends to encapsulate a new learning experience that learners not only experience a new form of reading that is different from traditional games, but also supports the development of a learning environment from the effect of interactive multimedia that is challenging.
